Dear AAHN Members,
This past July, the nursing
community lost one of its great pioneers, Dr. Eleanor Krohn Herrmann,
Professor Emerita and former President of the American Association for
the History of Nursing. The University of Connecticut School of Nursing
will be hosting a Celebration of Life ceremony to remember her and all
of her achievements. We would like to extend the invitation to you as
AAHN members to attend, as well. For directions on how to get to the
Widmer Wing Auditorium, click here. Parking
will be available in the lots on either side of the School (adjacent to
Storrs Hall and the Widmer Wing.)
If you will be unable to
attend, but would like to share a memory of Eleanor, please consider
making a submission to her memory book by March 1. You may send your
text and/or photos for the book to the attention of Kathe Gable,
coordinator of alumni and community relations at the School of Nursing,
