President's Letter
Greetings from
Singapore,
These are
exciting times for AAPB with unprecedented opportunities for membership
growth and a reinvigoration of the Strategic Plan that was approved by
the AAPB Board of Directors during the 2011 Annual Meeting in New
Orleans. We have many goals and initiatives on the table and look
forward to getting more of our members involved in the new committees
that have been formed to carry out the vision and mission of AAPB. If
you are interested in joining us, please contact
us and we will help you choose a committee that is right for you.
You can also print and complete the VOLUNTEER INTEREST
FORM and fax or mail it to AAPB Headquarters.
I am pleased
to unveil the new look and content sections of the e-Newsletter. In an
attempt to provide you with essential information and industry updates,
we have incorporated new regular features into the newsletter. We hope
these additions will help keep you up-to-date not only on biofeedback
news, but happenings within our association. If you have any items to
contribute that you feel would be valuable to the membership, please contact
us.
Sincerely,
Gabriel Tan,
PhD
AAPB President

Letter
from the President-Elect: Jeff Bolek, PhD
Yesterday my wife, (a

Medicare Services instituted a requirement that a physician be in the
room supervising a speech-language pathologist performing an endoscopy.
The rule replaced the previous requirement that a physician be
immediately available but not necessarily in the room during the
procedure. What does this have to do with applied psychophysiology?
