MNRS is HOW Old????

Yes, it's really true! MNRS will be holding its 35th Anniversary Conference in Columbus, March 23 - 27, 2011.  We were the first regional society (if you don't count WICHE as the forerunner of WIN), and we may be biased, but we think we're the best!

We are leaders in awarding Dissertation and Seed Grants to our members, and we need your help to continue to fund those grants. We are initiating an Anniversary Circle to recognize this milestone, and to raise funds for the grants.

We're asking each regular member to join the Circle by giving a multiplier of the Anniversary - 35 x 10, or $350, and each student to give $35. These amounts work out to only $6.73 and $0.67 per week. Of course, more would be appreciated from those who can do so. Remember all monies donated go to fund the research grants, so it's a good way to "give back" to our great organization.

We will be recognizing the Anniversary Circle members in Columbus. Please join us!! Just send your check to MNRS, or go to the website's Donate Now button and specify your donation to the Anniversary Circle.

Thank you in advance.

2011 Pre-Conference Workshops

Call for Submissions

MNRS is now accepting submissions for pre-conference workshops at the upcoming 2011 Annual Conference. Workshops are meetings designed for the critical and in-depth examination of a phenomenon or a focused area of nursing research and the compilation of those findings into a venue for the generation of new knowledge for nursing.

2011 Competitive Symposia

Call for Submissions

MNRS is also accepting submissions for competitive symposia for the 2011 Annual Conference. Symposia include 4-5 papers that relate to a single topic.  Each paper must be submitted as an individual abstract to the coordinator.  The abstracts may describe completed research or research in progress with a discussion of methodological considerations, a synthesis of related literature or other research topics of relevance.  Abstracts must include: Purpose, theoretical/conceptual framework, subjects, method and results and conclusions, as applicable.  The symposium title must be included with the submission.

Following the final selection of 4-5 abstracts, the coordinator organizes the selected abstracts into a symposium and submits them to MNRS electronically using the online instructions.
