New Event Coming at 2009 Conference!
A Research
FUNdraiser
We paid attention to the suggestions we received from our attendees
on how to improve the Gala event, and have developed a whole new
event to replace it.
The FUNdraiser will be on Saturday evening, March 28, 2009, and
include a Talent Show and dessert buffet, with fruit. There will be
ample seating. It is scheduled so that you can come right to the
fun, after your dinner with friends and colleague — and bring them!
Attendees will have an opportunity to be entertained and to learn
"important things your mentor never told you" from
leaders in the Midwest. BTW, leadership is defined for this evening
as: "Making a fool of oneself to obtain money."
Space is limited, but if you would like to be considered to perform
in the Talent Show, send your name and a description of your act to
Sally Kittredge at skittredge@resourcenter.com.
We will be able to notify you regarding participation by October
15, 2008. The winner(s) of the Talent Show will receive a trophy to
display for the year. It will then pass on to the winner of the
2010 Show.
All of the funds raised go to fund MNRS Dissertation and Seed
grants — so needed to assist our members. Put the FUNdraiser on
your calendar! You won't want to miss it!
