With your logo hanging from all conference attendees' necks, this is great exposure for you. You will also be listed in the onsite program.

Networking Break $2,500
Host a break on Saturday or Sunday. Benefits include recognition in the onsite program, a sign at the entrance to the break, and your organization's logo printed on the cocktail napkins. Up to four (4) sponsors will be accepted.

 2009 Research FUNdraiser

In the past few Electronic Newsletters I've sent information regarding the Foundation's two fundraising activities at the 2009 Conference, the Silent Auction and the Research FUNdraiser. Please plan to participate in each of these fun and worthwhile events — worthy because ALL of the funds raised go into research grants awarded to our MNRS members.

I would like to share some background information considered in planning the Research FUNdraiser. Some have asked why we didn't provide more substantial food at previous Galas. The reason is cost and our desire to raise as much money as possible to fund research grants.

Did you know that hotels charge as much as $5 per meatball or piece of cheese provided at receptions? Vegetarian hors d'euvres are $4 each. One little dessert tart, $4. Dinners or dinner buffets begin at $40 per person.

So, now you know why our event is not a dinner, because it can't be a dinner and raise funds, unless we want to charge much more for the tickets. Ticket prices have remained at $50 each in hopes that more members, including students, would be able to attend.

There are some package deals:

  • A book of six tickets for $250
  • A table labeled and reserved for your group and 8 tickets for $500*

*All attendees will be able to sit at a table, but the best locations will be reserved for those who purchase a whole table — and it will be great fun to watch the skits together with your group. Details about the entertainment will be shared in later Newsletters.
